Senior Boys Boarding House
There are 70 boys associated to the Senior Boys Boarding House. The boys either belong to Chala or Magadi, and join their junior colleagues for House sport or music, events. Regardless of their House, the boys form extraordinary friendships and exhibit camaraderie at all times.
Billy Odengo, Housemaster, Senior Boys Boarding House
Our aim is to include and value everyone as an individual and to work together as a community. We expect high standards of behaviour and encourage boys to strive for their personal academic best as well as develop their skills and talents generally. Every boy in the House has his role to play in making it a very happy and successful place.
Mr Odengo became Housemaster of the House in January 2021; he is also a member of the Vocational Faculty, where he teaches Sport.
Mr Odengo is supported by Mr Kamande who all live within the boarding House. The vision of the House is to give all Sixth Form boys everything they need to achieve their academic success. The House has a more adult feel with pupils taking additional responsibility for their behaviour and working more independently. All pupils have individual rooms, with a study table and chair. The room also has a locker, wardrobe space and shelf space for storing their clothing, uniform and possessions. The general facilities include a common room and TV room, where boys regularly get together to play pool, make toast, sit and watch a film, or just mill about on the sofas and chat.
