Activities Programme

The co-curricular side of school life at Peponi is totally integrated into the routine of the School.

This letter is designed to inform parents of what is on offer so that they may have more input into their children’s choices.

1.Weekly Activities:

Activities will continue to take place between 1.30pm and 2.15pm daily, Monday to Friday, and cover many different interests. Additional activities will also take place between 5pm - 6pm.

Activities choices are made by the students on the first day of each term.

It will be compulsory for students in Years 9 and 10 to participate in activities for at least three lunch time session

Senior students will be encouraged to lead activities  -especially students nvolved the President’s Award.

Commitment to teams does take priority and in some cases may mean that a student misses out on activity. Every effort is made to keep everyone happy.

Most activities carry no extra charge, however, in some cases when the School has to pay an outside coach we must pass this charge on to the parents.

We do require parental consent and payment before allowing a pupil to begin an activity that entails an extra charge.

This term some of the activities we hope to run include: community service, computer club,  Tae Kwondo ,  kayaking, cooking, touch typing, guitar club, board games,  junior play , magazine , lifesaving, personal survival, as well as recreational sport, squash, swimming, basketball, football.

Choir, Band & Musical Ensembles. Most of these groups meet 1.30pm – 2.15pm

Any students wishing to continue with music lessons or start music lessons should contact the director of music Mr James Laight.

Most students taking individual instrumental lessons will be expected to attend band or ensemble groups. Students doing voice lessons will be expected to attend choir. Peponi takes part in a number of concerts over the course of the term.
