week 9 update

From the Headmaster:

Dear Parents

Congratulations to our swimming team who, for the third year in a row (or should that be “in a Wroe”), won the IAPS Swimming Championships last Saturday. Everyone swam brilliantly and it was a superb team performance. We would all like to thank our swimmers for their efforts and also Mr Wroe and his amazing team for all their hard work. Special recognition goes to Amara Helyar – U13s 50m breaststroke, Charles Smith – U11s 50m backstroke and Carlo Blunsum - U11s 50m butterfly, who all broke the School Swimming Records.

Congratulations also to our Head Girl, Emma Boxshall, who has been awarded the Basil Hume Scholarship for Sporting Excellence at Ampleforth College.

Good luck to our boys teams at the Kenton hockey tournament this weekend.

We also wish Samyak Raja every ounce of good fortune for the Young Musician of the Year Finals on Sunday.

From the PTA:

Opportunity to Provide Feedback to School!

  • As hopefully you are aware the PTA is hosting a Town Hall Meeting March 20th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm to discuss as a parent body areas of interest, concern and opportunities for school improvement. (Parents only please plan to attend.)
  • In advance of the Town Hall we have launched a survey to capture some of the key subjects that parents feel are important to discuss yet may not have had an opportunity to express.
  • Click on this link to launch the survey:
  • About the survey:
      • Survey is entirely anonymous so that parents can feel free to provide honest and productive input.
      • Responses are returned anonymously to the PTA directly
  • Please take 5 minutes time to complete.  Use this as an opportunity to share your dreams, ideas and hopes for partnering with the Senior Leadership Team and our teachers to create a stronger parent/teacher community with a shared vision.
  • Thank you for your time and partnership!

From the DHA:

  • Year 8 Parent Teacher meetings on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Please see my previous email for more details and to check which evening you have been allocated.

From the DHP:

  • Well done to Year 6 and their teachers; it sounds like you had an incredible trip and demonstrated true Peponi spirit and teamwork.
  • Well done to Mrs. Bor and her team for organizing the IAPS Young Programmers’ Competition today. We look forward to details of results, next week.
  • All the swimming results as well as our regular sporting results are attached.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mike Peck
