The Curriculum
The academic life of Peponi is guided by two key principles: to educate
pupils to know as broadly and to think as independently and incisively as
possible, to achieve the best possible examination results for each pupil.
In and out of the classroom, pupils are challenged through discussion,
careful and knowledgeable specialist teaching, visits, lectures,
extra-curricular activities, tutoring and prep. They are prepared with care
for examinations and university, and are encouraged to develop independent
and inquiring minds.
Every pupil studies one modern language through to IGCSE; many study more.
Every pupil studies all three sciences to IGCSE as well as English, English
Literature and Mathematics. In Year 12, pupils study four AS levels, chosen
from twelve subjects, and carry on with three of these to A level the
following year.
